The best players have siblings who also play.

Extremely rare to have two top players in the same family.

The Revs have several brother/brother pairs and sister/brother pairs. But regardless, you can kick the ball around with any sibling who also plays.

Two top tier players is rare but a very good player who can show a much younger sibling the roaps at an early age is a huge advantage for becoming top tier.

            That is exactly right.

Training one one's own or kicking the ball around with a sibling does not offset the relative lack of formal training provided by the Revs. 2-3 days per week is simply not enough.

I know my kid wants to, and does, play more than 2-3 days per week. If allowed by DAP, since it's not official training, would it be that hard to set up a pick-up game for the team to get in some extra playing time. Maybe send out an invite to a couple of age groups (say U12-U14) to round up enough kids, as obviously some with longer commutes may not be able to make it an extra day. You could even invite kids from other DAP clubs, Bolts are close by. It would be great for DAP camaraderie and sportsmanship, and a fun, low pressure way to get in some extra playing time with top players from the area.

3 trainings, 1-2 games/ week is enough? Kids needs some down time to be a kid also..

This is so true. I saw Fairfield play Northeastern last month, over half of the Stags roster, I think I counted 14 or 15 players, were from overseas. Most international players were from England, and that has to do with Rees and his network back in the UK, but I was surprised at the number from Norway and Sweden.

It's really becoming an epidemic. Another reason to think twice before giving HS for DA. Your odds of getting onto many rosters grow worse every year. If DA was producing the players coaches wanted they wouldn't be shopping so much overseas

Some DAP clubs DO train the recommended (mandated?) 4 trainings per week.

1). Revs won't like it - organizing it and especially not playing other DA teams
                          2) Where are you going to do it? Most fields are fully booked all day every day. And in most instances you have to have insurance and pay for a field, even lousy ones
3). If you want more training you shouldn't have gone to the Revs

                            Yes many do.

Not paying a dime. Most DA players get free ride to Spain.

Not true. If it is with the Bolts all players pay. No exceptions. If you have the money you can go.
