Everyone had to drive themselves!

All the teams needed to practice more together. Some teams fared better than others. Lots of talent across the academies- which means lots of competition for national team spots. Some players just stand out a head above the rest. If you could get them all on the same team--game over--but alas, they are spread out across the age groups.

Yes - If your son is one of the chosen ones.

At the academy level they are not trying to win championships, or have the best performing 'team' in any way. The goal is to develop players who the staff believes have the capability to play at the professional level. This generally means that a small handful of the players at each age group get the attention and the opportunities.
