These families from Amherst and anywhere else in the range of 2+ hours away from Foxboro are giving up their lives for this youth sport. Have you people seriously considered the benefits and drawbacks? I would encourage you to look at the list of 2016 commits and see that club soccer kids and DAP kids stand just about the same chance of playing college soccer. Even if you think your kid has the very rare talent and a true desire to become the next homegrown Revs professional player, which btw usually means skipping college and earning a very low salary -- it's not worth it folks! But you will likely have to learn this the hard way like so many others before you.

Look at the player most recently signed. They had him since young. He threw away a scholarship. And he hasn't played and won't play because he was merely bait to get you and it worked. Shame on them. The only impact players they have from DAP were with them for a brief time and that is not a coincidence.

But people coming from north of Boston are completely delusional. As the other poster said, you are giving up your life, as well as the player and his siblings essentially to say you play with the Revs. And that's just flat out nuts because they suck. And I hate that word but the shoe fits. They take talent and do absolutely nothing with it.

Weigh all of that carefully and don't but into the hype. Make sure to keep your options available in case it doesn't work out (by player or club choice)
