Sarcasm I hope . Not only are they mediocre coaches but poor role models too. Oh did you know that MK at first didn't want WJ on the team and would have had his way if he would have been head coach.

Why are the revs so bad at the u16 and u18 levels ?

Yeah the 16s made the playoffs but they failed miserably.

Why little Oakwood, a non MLS club with no big pockets board or owners? What are they doing right?

My guess - good hiring of humble, honest, smart coaches (not arrogant half baked idiots like these guys) who know how to select players, little corruption and nepotism.

Just saying...I was at Seacoast United U18 games against OW and the Revs this year . Seacoast dominated the play in both games. I will say that the OW U18 striker is a fantastic player. Hopefully he has been recognized nationally.

I'd also have to somewhat humorously add that I doubt OW is not a 'big pocket' team. Maybe not owned by Bob Kraft but I don't think too many of the families at OW are getting their meals from soup kitchens.

Revs teams underperformed in the standings because both the U16s and U18s had numerous players "playing up " or at the bottom of the age group and had key players frequently missing for national team duty.

Oakwood does well largely because of their defensively minded counterattacking style (watch how often their defenders bypass the midfield and boot it to forwards). The coaches do a great job getting the players to adhere to the game plan in a disciplined way. It's not a lot of fun for the players, but it is effective.

The Michigan-bound forward from Ghana is phenomenal (12 goals in 4 DAP games).

OW does a great deal of fundraising and getting sponsors ro help keep fees low. That's what non MLS DA clubs are supposed to do
