I would yank him off the field and he wouldn't see it again for awhile. And I'd give serious contemplation as to how he learned such behavior.
This is a reference to which player?

Are you Apache 1 and your wife would be Apache 2? Let coaches instruct and teach. Behave in that manner and you'd cause irreparable harm not only to your son, but any career soccer advancement.

Good luck to your kid if you ever were stupid enough to do that. Parents don't even do that in kindersoccer. There's a time and place for life lessons, but during a game isn't one of them.

Sorry my misguided parent friend. You have that backwards.
let me repeat. 13 year old kid. winds up a pure elbow. off the ball. throws it at another players head and drops him in a heap (modern phone cameras). Parents and coaches. Crickets.

Don't behave in the manner I mentioned (iow, according to you, delegate PARENTING and general civil behavior to COACHES, and wind up with a son soon out of control. (and the evidence on this thread bears that out...and as much as you will not believe this. I do not relish writing this. I sincerely hope that someone close to such a situation would confront the situation rather than bury their head in the sand.

It's the ref and the coach's job to address it at the field. Moving forward the coach will decide how best to handle, if at all. What the parent says on the ride home is their choice. YOU are not this kids' parent. If you were to pull your kid off the Revs to teach your kid a lesson, your kid won't be on that team for very long.

What a bonafide clueless idiot you are. Who in their right minds would do that? You know best do you? Shut up and enjoy the games. Leave the teaching to the Revs staff, they know a whole lot more than you, you out of shape hedge fund dude who never played any sports.

Does this kid have a pattern of behaving this way on the field? I'm guessing it's not the first time?

The most emotionally unstable player in Texas this week. Taking a drink from the opposing keeper's water, constantly arguing calls.

Not cool behavior at all. Question will be is he good enough that Revs will tolerate bad behavior, or marginal enough to be cut?
