I hear major cuts have been conducted this week by the Revs in all of their age groups. A lot of broken soccer dreams and they don't give two sh*ts.

Well if a player doesn't keep up or better ones make the team - that's life. Why keep bad players just to make their 'dream' come true? ????

While this is a part of life... It is difficult to process for the kids. Having said that, this is one of the main reasons why the idea of U12 Academy program is distasteful to me. Too many parents / players will have the rug pulled out from under them at very young ages.

Better at the younger ages. Older kids who at risk have given up a great deal to play DA and will have a more difficult time getting on a good team, getting showcased, explaining to a college coach why they're not on the Revs any longer. Realistically kids change a great deal through puberty and plateau. Some kids lose interest. On the other side kids with great potential will benefit with better training at the younger ages.

Any athletic system, especially a high level one, is going to have collateral damage and those are the risks you take entering such a system

Good point on what the older kids have given up to play DA. Tough all around, I suppose. At the younger ages, I guess it will depend on whether or not the U12 Alliance / Academy Program will truly be all that better than you could get at a high level club situation. That is still up in the air...

You just described almost everyone on the U12 Valeo, NEFC, GPS and Bayside Academy teams. I agree. These people are going to be disgruntled.

He'd be the smallest 2000 on my son's team. You must have girls.

Tottenham was vying for second place, and a finish above their North London rivals, Arsenal, for the first time in 20+ years.

What exactly are you intimating about an isolated 4 goal loss again?
Did Tottenham also lose to Seacoast and the Bolts?

Skip HS soccer, miss out on your high school experience both on the field and in the classrooom, for what??? To live your teenage years in a car going back and forth?? Really???

My guess is most kids will look back and regret their decision to play for the Revs.

If you really have talent, you will be seen in HS and in club soccer and have a chance to play D-1 and further.
Miss out in the classroom? Kids still have to go to school. Revs players still go to the prom, go to HS football games on Friday nights, etc. The only soccer my kid missed was kick-and-run with an abusive coach and captains whose idea of team-building is getting high with the freshmen before practice.

You are an idiot. Even 5'7" is average for a 2000 boy.

IKR. Why protect the U18 Revs team? Their performance has been abysmal. Could only benefit from insight.
