How many Valeo players will remain on the team after this year? I say 2.

Having kids with ample technical skill level to make the revs means they can now work on strategy. This will mean limiting their very childish over dribbling in games especially when consistently losing the ball. They need to work on strategic passing, give and go, crossing, switching the field.

Save the flair for exercises, not compromise for the team.
The players will take direction from the coaches.

They patiently worked the ball up the field and took advantage of Rev players pressing too high and also Revs players inability to hold the ball. For some reason the two Canadian academies are producing players and playing a style that one would expect from academies like the Revs. The Rev team tried playing over the top but had no ability to actually hold and move the ball down the field. After 4 years of training / playing this is pathetic.
Just wondering - is this the specific U18 coaching or Revs coaching in general? Seems like Revs U18 are training and playing old school soccer.

Kids making the Revs still have tons of skill to learn and refine. No matter how amazing they are when first selected. If they don't work on them constantly, they will not improve or even regress. The younger Revs players should still have the freedom to express themselves offensively, else they won't improve. I am not saying "ball hogging", but when they have a single player to beat and doing so will open up the attack this should still be encouraged.

Not robotic, safe soccer. Which is all too often the "style".

Often US players have the ball at their feet more when in middle school, and then switch to a few 1.5 hour practices 8 or 9 months a year. So safe soccer is all the kids or coaches feel comfortable playing. This attitude has to change if we want our best players to truly play high level soccer.

I think it's based more on personnel than anything. The U16s have a more fluid style of play that incorporates midfielders to a far greater extent than the U18s.

Over/under on cutting the "amazing" future Messi and sending the crazy Valeo parent packing: 6 months.

At the Revs U14 starting point team, most players are one and done. They tell you from the outset. Those Valeo boys are in for a rude awakening at the USSDA level. Darwin's theory is in full play!

Revs have zero tolerance for bad parents. Turnover is high at the youngest ages as well. At least a 13 year old hasn't walked away from HS soccer yet and has time to get back onto a quality non DA team

How any kid decides to play for the Revs that doesn't live under and hour from facility is beyond me.

Skip HS soccer, miss out on your high school experience both on the field and in the classrooom, for what??? To live your teenage years in a car going back and forth?? Really???

My guess is most kids will look back and regret their decision to play for the Revs.

If you really have talent, you will be seen in HS and in club soccer and have a chance to play D-1 and further.

0 months. They already know her circus act. "Unfortunately, we regret to inform you... and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

Wow. Revs U18 lose at home, 4-0 to Montreal. That is flat out getting smoked.
Looking at the scores, Revs also recently lost to Seacoast and the Bolts.

Seems that would corroborate criticism of Revs development.

                          Revs apologists?

You must have a U12 or U13 player. This is a dumb statement based on 1 game. Hopefully you smarten up in the next few years.

No. That was three recent games. Including the local opponents. And 4 years of 'development' within the Revs organization.

                              Revs apologists -1.

Couldn't care less about the Revs. I just hate stupid statements.
