When someone can post that Johnny be good started off at Club abc when he was 8 and stayed their for longer than an 5 years, went pro than we can talk. No club maybe Bolts has shown a track record of development. The clubs provide visibility through state cup or competitive leagues. Right now the Revs,Bolts and Seacoast play in the best league. Out of those 3 I would choose Revs based on coaching staff, facility and player quality

The Revs have been running their Academy program for 8 years now. Can you name one legitimate player that the Revs Academy has developed in that time?

Can anyone confirm what club the players are going to be from for the 2003 team? Numbers?

Agreed. Revs posts quickly. You'll just get misinformation here.

The Revs have not developed a single player in their Academy in the past 8 years that has made it to the National Team. While many have been called into National camps none have ever played for U17, U20, U23 or the first team National team. There are no DeAndre Yedlins or Jordan Morris's developed by the Revs. While they have signed some of their home growns and they will sign more, they have failed miserably in the one goal of the Academy which is to produce "true" national team players. If I spent 8 years in my job and showed this type of result then I would no longer have a job.

They will never produce a single national player because Mass is full of mediocre players . You live in GPS , Bolts and Blazer country(suburbs heavy clubs ) . These clubs are more worried about making money than developing talent. The recent national candidates have come from North Attleboro, Attleboro, Providence . This area is influenced by Portuguese and Spanish type of playing style.

Fagundes came out of Fitchbug , heavy Uruguayan and south america brand of soccer

Do you hate all white people or just suburban soccer moms?

The trouble is if you try to promote 3-4 kids for the National team, you can end up not working on developing them to play as a team. Then those players can never advance beyond being good individual players.

Regardless of whether the players came from MA, RI, CT, or NH the fact is that none of them has ever made or played on a competitive US National Team. Some have played for their own countries NT but the purpose of Academy is to develop players for the US team. Willing to give Fagundez and Caldwell a pass since they were only Academy players for a short time since it was early in the program. Otherwise Revs not meeting the requirement to development players for NT and not sure they are doing the best job developing players for the first team either. ZH is not exactly getting on the field but he gets a great front row seat to all the games.

Bingo. Major flaw in the system - are clubs supposed to be developing players for NT, or developing players for their own teams? As it is clubs have little incentive to do either because they don't "own" the player.
