I feel like the people on the top of the US soccer pyramid, although a little slow, are starting to realize this and we'll start seeing more DA players on newly formed reserve teams or USL teams (maybe even extended age DA teams) so they can continue developing through those critical years. Just because you're not playing on a top DA team (can't really say any of our local DA teams could be called this) doesn't mean you should throw all your ambition and hard work out the window to play high school soccer. Opportunities have come unexpectedly for many pro players, but you still have to put yourself in the right spot to take advantage when something comes along. For high school boys, that would be the DA, even if it's not the strongest team.

I go to as many div.1 area games as possible and I have seen many local DAP games also over the past few years. There is no one currently on any of the three local 17/18 teams (SC, Bolts, Revs) that would get significant minutes for any of the teams Div.1 teams I've seen. (I'm convinced the NT players placed by the Revs are more politics than anything else). Amadu was as good as any player the Revs have produced in awhile and he was invisible against Lowell the other night. ZH was signed as a home grown player for the Revs and he wasn't in Amadu's class of player. He wouldn't play a minute for Lowell or Dartmouth. (Tells you something about the Revs). The Revs have one 15 year year old who has tremendous potential. But they have done nothing to develop him since he started for them a couple years ago. I am progressively disheartened with DAP and US soccer in general. And obviously so are college coaches because they are going elsewhere for their talent.

Several recent revs, bolts and SC players are at D1 schools. I think JR already has two offers. DJ too. WJ from bolts u18 is going to Duke . A player from Seacoast u18 committed to Harvard. One of the Lowell players you watched last night played for revs academy . Amadu did ok last night. Didn't play that much but had a nice shot on goal and helped create some chances. As a side note, I thought Lowell was the better team and should have won.

That's an unbelievable statement, I don't even think the little explosion boys are even going to make the cut next year. They didn't play much at all and when they did get subbed in, they did absolutely nothing...zero!!!
