They stagnate players who come to them with great innate talent. They pull from a population base of approx. 10 million and have what to show for it? Take off your blinders.They do not inspire and foster an environment where a player strives to be great. It's actually quite a reverse achievement to have access to so many talented players and have not ONE big name player to show for it.

I'll admit that I must be some kind of masochist because I watch the MLS team weekly hoping to see an interesting product and it's just painful to watch. You don't have to be the smartest guy to see these things, just have a mind and eyes that are open to reality.

They'll figure it out. The Revs newbies are always a bit naive but this group takes the cake. Pretty funny about losing to Shalrie to Bolts, entrenched boys network even outdumbs the Bolts. Now THAT takes effort. Have any of those Revs coaches ever done anything at any level?

Revs only practice 2-3 days per week, so there are plenty of opportunities for outside training.

Revs DAP train 2-3 days. 1.5 each hrs unless practice is cancelled when you get there. There is a lot of outside training going on, though the Revs don't allow it. Some people are more special than others. No kid can stay competitive with their minimal training. Guaranteed to fail.

What is the truth? Do the Revs academy players only practice 2-3 x per week for 1.5 hours per? It would explain a lot but I find it very hard to believe.

Hyperbole and we've seen some of the fringe players from that team. Being allowed to be a bench player because of the "alliance" is not all that. What a shame Revs stooped that level.

I agree that the Revs chose some odd players from GPS and Bayside.

Valeo hasn't played all of the NE academy teams, much less most in the country.

Ones from Ohio, CA, Chicago, Texas.

All Revs teams are encouraged to play a certain way. Creativity is not encouraged - actually it's frowned on. This playoff game is a perfect example. Very predictable soccer. On the other hand, look at Sporting Kansas and the brilliance there,

Seems that applies to the Revs as well. I have no doubt that if they could get out of DA they'd do it in a heartbeat.

And here we have the most significant fundamental flaw with DA - the vast majority of players only care about college. They want the "top" league because that is what will help them get there. They know they're not NT or pro material. If boys ECNL gets off the ground it is going to take a dent out of non MLS clubs. Getting GDA off the ground is not going to be the virtual cakewalk it was on the boys side
