Won't be on the national grammar team anytime soon.

Haha! The crazy "all in" parents obviously do not have a plan B, school not a priority driving to Foxboro all the time. Please don't tell them their superstars have less chance of going pro than the better Div 1 players now floundering in the lower third and fourth divisions in Europe.

Pretty sure they make kids the same way in other parts of the country.

Yes, you still need 1 sperm and 1 egg. Coaching does matter and i mean coaching beyond the USSF A license (which does not mean too much). I suggest you open your eyes and look closely, because these kids need to represent the NT and when they do, our team and soccer in this country will move forward. It is too bad that our club teams and our USMNT do not look or play like the DA.

Tell us what a great community it is when the Valeo boys sit.

Valeo crackheads out in force today. Love it!

These superstars will become the club coaches to ruin the next generation.

Why do you care. These kids were noticed because they have some ability, asked to participate, now see what happens. Do you expect people to decline the offer?
I don't get all the negativity. Can only be jealousy.

Why not wait a month to see if your kid ever gets off the bench before calling anyone jealous?

How about you let kids and parents make up their own mind? Sorry your kid did not get enough playing time in DAP and left or got cut.

DAP is the best option around. Works for some and some it does not. Same with any other club prior to DAP. Everybody has a different situation.......logistics, crappy club team, good/bad coaches, crappy high school team, ext... Some kids thrive in DAP and others have a hard time with travel, competitive level, commitment and so on. These anti-Revs people are beyond silly. Just like with any club team if you were not happy, you leave.

Revs are a great opportunity and if feasible worth a try.

That's an odd thing to say. Valeo had the best team for 2 years straight playing and beating most of the academy teams in the country in various tournaments. I would think their players would not sit seeing as though they 100% must have beat your kid's team too.

My serious gripe is the idolatry of the Revolution. The MLS and DAP teams have talent but the coaching and development is awful in both cases. If I lived close I would probably take the offer (provided my son truly wanted to). BUT, BUT, BUT, I would be using the team primarily as a platform to showcase my son. IOW, I would NOT be counting on the Revs to improve my son as a player. I would continue to work with him or find a talented trainer to counteract the damage that the Revs would instill. If they ever came to me and said that my son was not fully buying into their program and was too much of an individual, I would tell them it was because what they are selling as a program is stale meat and we would gladly shop elsewhere if we were not welcome.

Since you posted this I would like to see proof of Valeo teams "playing and beating most of the academy teams in the country". I will accept either MLS or non-MLS

Please do not include those from MA ME, NY, NJ or PA as I will concede you may have played and beat them at some point.

Hyperbole and we've seen some of the fringe players from that team. Being allowed to be a bench player because of the "alliance" is not all that. What a shame Revs stooped that level.

ok in theory but when your son is doing this at practice 4 days a week and at games, it's very difficult to unlearn this- it becomes instinctual.

Revs only practice 2-3 days per week, so there are plenty of opportunities for outside training.
