Haha. Typical newbie. I was laughing inside. Yeah he can talk the talk pretty well. Come back in late October and tell us what you think of him then. You don't hear of any parent who knows him defending him here. Why? Our team will suck again this year. Mark my words... but I'd love to be wrong here. has he ever been successful with a bolts team? No never. What's my agenda? My son actually gets decent playing time. It's not about that. Simply to call him out and make him really work ( not just his BS talk ) for the benefit of the entire team. This team is capable of making the playoffs. I fear that MK is going to give his usual half assed commitment and with his own crooked agenda and the team will give a mediocre performance as a result ( and he will tell them that they failed - not "we failed" but the team failed - because it's never his fault). I'm done here. You won't see me back for a while. I think I've said what I need to say.

MK wasn't even the u16 last year. Good that you are leaving, you sound like a loony tune.

I think he/she was talking about when MK coached the U14 academy team. Many of those players are now on his U16 academy team.

lol. Give it time. You'll soon discover their warts. Make sure to re-evaluate whether it is a good fit for you player every few months.

2000s are not very good and their parents are the worst in the club. Stay clear!

Good to hear some optimism amongst all the vitriol here. It's all a great opportunity. Hope you and your son have a good experience.

It's really coming from a 1st year player's parent. Mk gives the same bs speech every season. They will soon find out. Marco gets an A+ on public speaking and saying all the right things but never, ever delivers on it.

Not a first year player and do not have any issues with him. My son likes him.

Academy play is much faster than club play. Huge difference.
Academy, especially MLS, have no reason to accept "weak" players. The weakest players allowed on the squad come from self-important, "influence wielding" outside influences sticking their noses into the decision making for their own benefit. The criticism comes then from the irate parents whose kids are let go in the very near future for not being able to keep up. The difference in quality shows immediately.

Sad but true. Happened every year on the roster.

More often you get self entitlement at the non MLS clubs, because reality is not all those clubs are as strong, don't attract top talent and it's pay-to-play and parents are allowed to be more "involved" (I know at the Revs they don't tolerate parent anything). But that also doesn't mean coaches at MLS clubs don't make mistakes or play politics or favorites either. They all have flaws, some just bigger than others.

It doesn't happen often, but parent pressure can yield results even with the Revs.

The old Bayside Expo site to become new soccer specific stadium and the Calf Pasture Pump Station (about a half mile away) to become a state of the art Revs training and Academy facility. I hear it's a done deal.

Take a look at the Revs rosters and delete anyone from Western MA or CT when this happens.
