    2) Where are you going to do it? Most fields are fully booked all day every day. And in most instances you have to have insurance and pay for a field, even lousy ones
3). If you want more training you shouldn't have gone to the Revs
My DAP son is already playing on off nights, organizing games at the local high school. Has been doing it since day 1. Twice a week, sometimes 3. He always has a ball at his feet.

And that is precisely the difference right there. If your kid is doing as the above poster mentions, that separates the men from the boys come college age.

BINGO!!! There it is in a nutshell. That is the difference maker for soccer to succeed in this country. Really not complicated.

Without knowing your son's name , I would bet my mortgage that he's a top player in DAP, just based on what he does on his off training nights. No doubt about it in my mind. Would you mind telling us where he plays? Curious.

The story is suspicious. Organized at a high school suggests it a school team and they are allowing him to get more reps in with like minded players, on a school night when field space is often at a premium. If he's doing it great but kids all over MA are doing the same thing.

You're out of your mind..."suspicious". I live in a suburb whose high school has a sprawling complex with multiple grass and turf fields. My son and his friends always find a spot. They organize the teams, manage the play, and with multiple age groups I may add. I should know, I drive him there and often stick around for a bit. It's awesome to see. I don't care if you think I'm making this up. BTW, he's Revs player.

I seriously doubt "kids all over MA are doing the same thing." The level of play in public and/or prep high school soccer suggests differently. My guess is most are playing FIFA 17 and Snapchatting on their off training afternoons.

If your boy is doing this, well, that's the stuff no coach on this planet can instill on a young player. The love, passion and dedication he has for the sport is the main ingredient to success. No worries about your young man not going places.

If you and other parents are driving the kids and hanging around it sounds more like an organized/ forced practice. This is not what he very top players are doing. They do it on their own.

Our DAP kid is destroying balls practicing his shooting against the wall in our park. Alone. Almost every night.

Destroying his balls in the park alone every night? He can get arrested for that.

Not one adult there at any time. Some take their bikes, some parents drive their kids to the field. Why is it so hard to grasp? In my town, my son plays pick up soccer almost daily.
What do you know what "top" players do?

Sorry "top" players score goals and know how to play defence.

My son does none of this and both your son and my son will graduate and get a real job. You're a fruitcake.

My son takes his talent and passion, puts in the hard work and is becoming the best player he can be. If he translates this method to the rest of his life I will die a very proud and happy man.
