Well, it's been mentioned on another thread that U14 player M.B. (from Woburn Ma) went through several youth clubs before landing a spot on the Revs. My son played with him on the Falcons several years ago and was training with Portuguese coaches over there. He was a very dominant player then too, and looks like he's getting the majority of playing time with the Revs. Revs are in an enviable position within the New England landscape.

He's a January '02. RAE reaping its benefits. He's a very good player but don't discount that.

Portuguese coaches rule! Just ask the Newton United players who went to Valeo!

          I guess that's why he's 5'8 and just turned 14.

What are Falcons? Just looked at his bio and no mention of Falcons. GPS developed player.

Even when the best players move on to the Revs, Valeo will always be their futbol home.

Thanks Malcolm, but pertains to ice hockey.

At Seacoast/ Valeo they will be training part-time at Valeo, so still strong ties to the club.

Either option is good for the boys and good for the club. Becomes a personal choice. No other club can offer that.

How does it become a personal choice when the Revs don't offer them positions? Seacoast or Bolts are left.

It applies to soccer, too, although more so for boys than girls.

Also the U13 and U14 age groups have a higher concentration of highly skilled players. I think the Rev coaches need to recognize this and embrace the newer generation which does not fit their style.
A better concentration of highly skilled plalayers ?? Would you people give it a rest. You just keep embarrassing yourselves every time you say something. What's comical is back a few years ago when all the talk of the 11's and 12's from Valeo was started they just **** on ACADEMY and none would have it! VALEO was the golden goose and they were going to ride it through u18. Now the reality is hitting them that there team is going to be broken up and very few kids will play academy. ALOT CHANGES after 12-13! Welcome to reality folks and good luck.

They do sound so desperate but it's very funny. Relax and watch the public meltdown. They finally figured out the landscape of MA youth soccer and suddenly realize their little Messis just don't fit after u little.
