When will the Revs announce U12 Académy?

We all know it's coming. Will it be 2015/2016 or 2016/2017?

It will never happen with the Revs.

They don't even want to spend the money and effort on the teams they have!

All MLS affiliated DAP programs are supposed to start a U12 age group by the 2016 season. My guess they will wait till they have to do it. So next year

MLS and US Soccer will "recommend" the younger age group to their membership teams, ultimately the ownership group will make the call. The New England Revolution has been historically opposed to starting younger. They will not do it. 3 homegrowns in 8 years and many who now play NCAA D1 is fine with them. The college players still belong to them. They prefer the private clubs to do the training and will id them from there. Makes better business sense. Do not expect a U12 academy system from them anytime soon.

Never happen with Kraft as owner. Do not expect another fully funded age group investment from that guy.

Makes more sense to him to repeatedly pay millions in fines to the NFL for his football staff's shenanigans than to develop his other brand. We need a new, more engaged, progressive thinking soccer ownership group than that fool and his son.

Jimmy Pallota is building a soccer stadium in an ancient city like Rome for his team and Kraft is deflating footballs and setting up cameras to spy on other NFL teams to gain competitive advantages. Pretty telling.

Yes 2016, but not with our beloved Revs.

Not only are the Revs cheap but they care little for the program. Other poster nailed it - have other clubs develop players then the Revs aggregate the top talent. They wouldn't know how to run a "development" program. As long as it is a suggestion and not a requirement it won't ever happen under current management

Clubs like GPS are looted year in and year out.

Right, total of 14 present GPS players from all of the Revs three teams. Nice spot to be in. Shame on the Revolution. Professional development? ID system is all it is.

If the Rev's create a u12 team, then they would lose the money from all of the camps and clinics that the current U11 and u12 pay to do. If they do create a u12, that would be a loss of revenue.

Also most of the coaching staff that I have met, is lacking the personality for the younger aged kids.

Good luck, I am glad my kid is too old to worry about this.

Don't worry about looting since all those great GPS kids will be going to Bayern , Right?
