I don't like some Valoe parents talking trash on this site. But the team is very good and I was impressed by these boys when my son's team played against them. Good luck to Valeo boys in the rest of their games.

I'm sure they are a good team, I have no doubt of that.

However - they just lost to a team that has NO gotsoccer history. And the parents claim that they are actually #8 in the country.

Many areas under water in Dallas. The new site is dirt/grass-ish fields. Dusty. Very West Texas. It is what it is.

No problem Sunday when we were there.

Of course, you need to play on a DAP team to get the good fields.

V loses 1-0, but I'm sure they won possession and style.

They probably lost on a blown offsides call during a bad bounce on a grass field against a physical striker who dove to draw a PK while chasing a kick and run pass.

Always easier to sit on the sidelines and comment compared to actually playing the game.

I get the logic valeo lost to some team from another part of the country so that negates the fact they they won nefc's own tournament the last two years.

Nefc's the best again! Right? Right? Hooray!!

I am not sure if you are responding to my post or adding to it. My comment was against all those who spout off against any group of kids trying to play the game. These posters have the ultimate seat....they do nothing but complain the most. Their clarity from the sidelines seems to be the best as they see all that is happening. Actually, they actually know the least especially how kids develop and learn.

With regard to Valeo U12 in Dallas.....they are currently at the top of their bracket, but barely so, with one game left. Their bracket is very tight as the first three teams have the same record, but Valeo has a more point with their remaining game against a very tough team. Barring significant changes I don't suspect that one of the two wildcards will come from their bracket but you never know.

Good luck. Looks like a strong group of teams.

The majority of Valeo is solid. A few very weak links bring down their level dramatically. If EW continues to insist on bringing 3rd level team players to high intensity tournaments, like Texas, the team will go down in flames. Already starting. Is he blind? Or just stupid? I'm not paying for this crap anymore.

Wacky point system. Better to lose 10-1 then 1-0 because you get the point for a goal. Some better teams won't make the quarter/semi-finals.

Decided to take the bait and look at Dallas brackets and what I found interesting is that with 24 teams through 2 games there are only 3 teams that are 2-0 .....from afar it like one like close competition

What you fail to realize is that you could not play in a tournament like that with 11 or 12 or 13 players. You know you will keep paying to play for that club no matter what
