No U13s were utilized or harmed in this game.
If his techniques and phenomenal coaching skills were what you claim he would be coaching D1 college or Pro not 12 year olds. Good youth coach...let's leave it at that.

That team has the best youth coaching in MA. How about we leave it at that?

        He's the Youth Coach Wizard
There has got to be a root.
        A youth coach wizard,
        S'got such a supple boot.

'How do you think he does it? I don't know!
        What makes him so good?'

        He ain't got no distractions
Can't hear those buzzers and bells,
        Don't see lights a flashin'
        Plays by sense of smell.
        Always has a replay,
        'n' never tilts at all...
        That youth coach wizard
Sure plays a mean fut bal.

Silly stuff. So far, it looks like he has a pretty good U12 boys team, which itself is apparently a merged team with a number of kids largely trained at another club. Looks more like a single good class of players, something that is not uncommon at lots of clubs--see Scorps/Blazers BU15 team. That's not necessarily coaching--might just be luck. Where are the other V teams?

Sure, they can hold their own playing up a year because of luck, has nothing to do with all the hard work and training. Brilliant post.

                  EW has done nothing yet!

Many more coaches and teams have had greater and more consistent success over the years. Actually Newton United has had more success than Valeo and EW.

The "luck" is getting a particularly good class of kids--happens at lots of clubs, and here it was obviously aided by a merger with another club. Too often on this board, coaching is credited for success that is largely a function of talent. All the "hard work and training" won't help if the talent isn't there. In order to credibly credit the coaching for a team's success, you need to see performance across multiple age groups.

NU is the only thing contributing to the current success of Valeo. EW is riding coat tails.

I think NU were riding coat tails of a couple of kids that are gifted players. I am not sure how much of their talent is from coaching vs they were born that way.

Yes I can agree with that. The merger did bring on some talented kids and some coaching styles that differed from V's. I think this has helped tremendously because development should not only come from one style of coaching.

Ridiculous statement considering they had one coach from K on. And coach's sons played.

EW and DL make a great coaching team.
