GPS Milan pre-season posted brackets. 8v8 and 1v1 at U12.

Some teams did not do good at U11 8v8 last spring yet playing 11v11 at U12.
Still new formation is new to all of these teams. can't wait to see the results.

9 Maple teams in the top group, 9 GPS teams in the second? Way to mix things up GPS.

I like the way they stacked the U12 8v8 division so that they are almost guaranteed to make it to the finals.

Why wasn't the number of GPS teams evenly divided in Series A and Series B?

I must have missed this one.
NEFC Central U12, Aztec U12 Revolution(hah!) and WUP Red 02/03 are all playing in U13 Premiership Central division. Same as Valeo U12 Elite in Maple. Feels like this year it will be a fun to check the results. They will not be as much predictable as they were last year.

On the contrary, finally the games will become meaningful.

Central Premiership is one of two second divisions, same as Maple green not blue.

NPL U13 is largely NEP clubs, but not the same teams as prior seasons. Clubs have combined their best players into single top teams.

I am not sure I agree. Those teams have played each other multiple times as U11 and they usually are close so perhaps you are right. Is 8v8 going to be different? Did Aztec or WUP pick up more players? Should the other teams be in that group?

Aztec is average. WUP and NEFC will run this division.

I'm sure this is said a little too soon. We'll see. Certainly, it will be interesting season for the top teams

Probably true but not being challenged consistently only feeds the parents egos, surely not best for development.

The challenge is to get better in practice. At this age the 8 league games is just to gauge whether that's actually happening.

Yes, there is an optimal training:game ratio.

Messing around with the brackets in their own tournament is so GPS it hurts.

Well then the other divisions will be that much weaker.
