This is the FC Mass parent. Not sure why he (or she) is so bitter?

NEFC parent here. My kid has played for CB for two ssons. I think the possession style of soccer is what makes the game a joy to watch. I am please with the development of my son as a player over that time. Different clubs have different styles and attract different players. Ronaldo like footwork and knowing where to be on the field be in the toolkit of every U12 player.

I am going to let the season play out and see where his develop is around this time next year. I am sure he will continue to be eager to learn about the game and how to be the best player he can be. He only gets 3 -4 hours of training a week (we are not with Valeo) so he continues to watch soccer and train on his own and with others.

Parents should find the club that is a good match for their child's personality, learning style, responsiveness to coaches, etc. It's just a sport for Pete's sake.

Oh c'mon...It's about "expert" dads and moms living through their children with dreams of D1 scholarships, Pro ball and National Team selection dancing in their head. I spent a few minutes combing through this ridiculous thread and read the nonsensical banter about 10 & 11 year old soccer players. I didn't realize that every time I'm at the field I'm surrounded by so many experts! How many of these children's parents ever played a sport above H.S. that they didn't pay to play? Where did they gain all this high end experience they love to share on here? How have they become the authority on coaching and developing young athletes? Where did they ever learn that being a top 11 yr old player leads to you being a top player at 18, 19 or 20? What makes them call out a coach's ability when they've never had their child play for them and have no knowledge of the person or his training sessions? The crap on here is endless. At first I thought some of it was comical but in reality it's a pretty sad depiction of youth sports parents.

They look great against a bunch of bad MA teams. Look at the upcoming Nefc U13 team. They have traveled to multiple out of state tournaments and gotten hammered
Doesn't it baffle WUP NEFC Valeo Aztecs they have to play up against heavier bigger players for competition when they have some in their own back yard?

Who are you referring to as being in those clubs' backyard?

It's not doing them any good to play up if they are in weak divisions.

Maple Blue U13 is about as strong as it gets at this age group.

Playing against Maple town teams is not good competition.

Looks like we shall soon find out if this claim is true. Stars Cup BU13 top bracket has the top three teams from the spring's Maple Blue 11v11 teams (Blazers, Valeo and PTUSA), as well as well as three of the new BU13 NPL teams (Stars, GPS, and NEFC) along with two competitive NEP teams (Seacoast and MCU Portland). Finally, good match ups all around. Results should be interesting.

It is if they win. If they lose, it was a second tier team, and the best team was playing elsewhere. Call back after Labor Day to find out.
