As a Valeo parent, I wish some of the other Valeo parents would stop trying to "sell" the club and instead just present the facts and let the reader decide.

Our price is x. We practice y. During the practice we do z. If the club is beaten up about x, y, or z, who cares. Let them present their a, b, and c.

Proof positive that the NU/Valeo parents are narcissistic fruitcakes.
Cost per hour is one of the main items we evaluate for anything- daycare, math classes, dance instruction, soccer clubs.

The former a FW and the latter a GK. Beyond that each team is filled with average to slightly above average sized kids...similar to most of the teams around here. Maybe your team is filled with average to below average sized kids so the WUP and NEFC boys look bigger? Skill wise these kids are good+, heads up players who work hard and are well coached. Add that up and my guess is that's what contributed to their combined 54-3 record last season. Anyway, good luck this season to all the U12's being discussed in this thread.
        Spot on.

          Exactly my point.

Throw an insult and you get a defending statement.

Ask the math tutor to help with this one...

(Value of an adult's time in $/hr) x (Hours spent defending their kid's soccer team on TS) = $ xx,xxx.xx

I think my kid's club is far cheaper than yours now.

The bolded activities are hourly models. Soccer clubs are not an hourly model. You do not pay by the hour for virtually any activity, you pay as a team based on committed events. If you miss hours with a soccer club they don't provide different hours for you to make up.

Neither does my daycare, swim lessons etc. Our club actually does allow you to come to another practice if you miss one.

Don't judge the whole club by a one chatterbox . The guy thinks he does Valeo a favor.
Other Valeo parents do not support his rigmarole.

I think that parents getting along is a positive aspect of any club. It has nothing to do with narcissism.
I suspect you are the parent that stands alone at games.

Different poster: Valeo is a players first club, it's not about the parents except to the extent that you can get your child to practices and games. IMO Valeo and any club should be judged by the quality and quantity of its training and whether the players are having fun. If the training is high quality, everything else will fall into place.

Valeo is a horrible program. Have fun this Fall on the road playing crappy teams. EDP sucks big time.

Instead of badgering the respond, please help us learn from you?

Obviously club soccer is a business. What else should we look at to judge a club?

Why is parents getting along a positive aspect of a club? Of course, I would love that every club my child played for we would make 10 new friends but that hasn't happened. So why is that a negative on the club?
