First time in a year and half d gave up more than two goals. Not fair to truly talented defenders to have attack that relies on one player and degerates into boot ball.

Not exactly a fantastic tournament. EW made some very bad mistakes. Very disappointing, he should be held accountable. My kid and the team did not deserve this. if this persists, we are outta here for good.

The Dallas tournament was a waste of time and money for me and my family and the coach is directly responsible.

No, certain individuals should have played less.

so...let me get this straight...you play in a big tournament, make it to the semis, and lose to one of the best teams (supposedly) in the country who then wins it all, and it was somehow a failure ? This is still a U12 team people. They might lose once in a while, especially to top tier teams. Not the end of the world...what a bunch of lunatics. Prime example of the type of winning at all costs obsession that is what is wrong with how we develop soccer players

You miss my point sir, we took the time off from work, spent a lot of money to go to a prestigious tournament and an incompetent coach ruins everything with his decision making.

Valeo is not in this to lose. I am not in this to lose.

Valeo used to practice 3 - 4 times a week but they grew too big and now there is no space so we are back down to twice a week like GPS

Is it possible to cut the parent and leave the kid on the team? I could drop him off after practice.

It's not about practice time. Our boys have talent. It's the coach, replace him.

Very funny, you don't even know who my boy is. He is not replaceable on this team and neither am I. The coach is however, he sucks ok?

Did your child have fun playing and competing against some tough teams? Let your spouse or his grandparents take him next time. You won't have to take time off of work, and your child can enjoy the tournament without the added pressure to win the whole thing.

I am not a valeo parent, but it sounds like the team did very well. As for your comment and other statements about Valeo being in it to win, well, I can only say that we are talking about 11 and 12 year olds.
Which is better for the team, the players, and the club: Bring 16-18 kids to a prestigious tournament, making it to the semifinals or even finals all the while giving all the kids who made the trip good play-time as defined by 40-50% of each game.....or Bring 16-18 kids to the same tournament making it to the semifinals or even finals but having 3 or even 4 kids playing less than 20% of the games?
if you reputation is to advance deep into league play or tournament while shafting the 'lower tier' of U12 players, then I assure you that the number of kids that show up to your tryouts will not be as high as you want both in quantity and quality....unless they have fools for parents. Kids need to play significant amounts of game time. That is a bottom line and more so at the younger ages.

My child enjoys himself when he wins, not loses, and so do we as his parents. Losing is well, for losers and I blame EW.
