Why are you guys so upset today? Having a good weekend?

In fact glad they are so jealous.

I'm sorry. I didn't get the personalized explanation sent to me with all of the facts, calculations, figures, player-to-coach ratios, and cost-per-minute rates for each club.
There are teams (not saying entire clubs, but some teams within clubs) in MA that train twice a week from mid-July through mid-June and play upwards of 80 games a year (outdoor and indoor soccer and futsal). And the base prices (that I am aware of, and I do not claim to know them all) are a good amount south of $2000.

The cost of the program at Valeo is not the main reason for its desirability. It can be cheaper if you do the barebones and use it as a recreational sport as some do on the lower teams. The cost per hour can also be much cheaper if you count up all the hours of training available due to volunteer coaches from NU running many of the technical and scrimmage training hours. The value of your dollar only increases if your kid actually attends.
However, if your kid is on one of the top teams, costs will start to mount as you travel to tournaments, etc. But this is expected and communicated clearly. The facility, the caliber of dedicated players, coaches, and yes the parents all add to the desirability of Valeo as an excellent soccer club. The banter on TS is just that-banter not to be taken seriously.
