If your goal is to play D1 soccer the best path is DAP-very few kids make it by sticking with their club team or playing for their highschool. It is an inconvenient truth and most of the parents that knock/disparage the DAP route do so because their kids aren't good enough--it is the rare exception that turns down the academy route--especially the "fully sponsored" ones.

it is highly likely that this will occur to any/all high level teams-it is very rare for a great club team to stay intact-the academy pull is too strong to some parents and the "free" ones are to hard to pass up to just about everyone. Take a snapshot of top GS 20 now and a year from now and it will look very different.

So if a U12 team from MA is alleged to be better than all of those teams from the mid-atlantic....
And those teams are losing "4-5 of their best kids" to DAP (I fixed your spelling for you)...
- why is it completely impossible that the same could happen to a top U12 MA team?[/QUOTE]

To continue with your analogy of hot women--nobody is going to pass up the hottest woman for free and completely sponsored-trips to Spain/England etc. Any Valeo lunatic parent would jump at this opportunity if it were presented to their kid

PDA/Red Bulls/Union academy teams would destroy Valeo!
