NEFC not getting good competition. Will not do well out of state this year.

FC BOLTS CELTIC BU13-GREEN 1 NEFC ELITE U12 BOYS 3
NEFC MN UNITED U13 BOYS 0 AZTEC SOCCER BOYS REVOLUTION 6

The NEFC MN United U13 team seems just awful.

Thanks for thinking about them. Where are they playing?

I thought Maple Blue was the top league? You play town teams?

That town team took a beating at Aztec from one of those $3K NEP teams. I took your advice and went to Gotsoccer. I had to scroll a few pages to find the town team you are wasting your time with next week. Have fun. Maybe you should play without a goalie.

Explosion's new [gps defecting] striker is young and talented (playing up) . Also another forward was quite good. GPS gives credence to size and seeps talent by this bias. Exlosion played their best, but obviously the team as a whole is outclassed in blue. (probably because they are not coached well)

Explosion is well coached, that's unfair. Lots of pressure the entire game, a good challenge for Valeo. And their schedule had them play the top three teams in a row. Wouldn't be surprised if they finished 6-3.

Valeo did not create the divisions or schedules. Look at NEP NPL U13. There are a few teams that don't belong in there either. It happens and it is not the end of the world.

Explosion has done very well over the past 2 years and are very well-coached. A few kids playing up, but mostly a solid U13 team.

Valeo will play about 15 challenging games in the fall counting tournaments, more in spring when they are in the top EDP group. If your child played on top team you would want this level of competition. If you were an honest, you would tell us your son's schedule and we could compare. But we already know it's nowhere near as competive, regardless of what team he is on.

My kid's team is playing a really difficult schedule in NEP/NPL. They are well-coached, and playing a really difficult schedule... so everything's good.

NPL U12 teams? There is no such division. Or is your kid on the GPS NPL U13 team? I hear they are giants.
Because none of the U12 teams in NEP are getting anything remotely as difficult as playing in a top U13 division. Valeo already played low U13 teams in the spring (then U12) and second tier in the NEFC pre-season. The competition in MAPLE Blue U13 is right about where it is playing the best U12 teams in the country. You can not say that for NEFC, WUP or Aztecs, playing low level U13 teams. Playing each other will be the best games you will have. The other U12 NEP divisions are weak.

                            NEFC Elite U13.

Mine plays for NEFC u12 elite. We (he) are happy with training, coaching and tournament schedule. I'm not interested in traveling towards NYC every Saturday at u12.

My mistake - I forgot this is a U12 thread. My kid is playing NEP/NPL (not U12). His training and the level of competition haven't changed since my prior post.

Thanks for your assessment of the best U12 teams in the country. Where did you see them play?
