I can guarantee if any of those players spent any time at MPS, they won't be putting it on their resumes.

Totally agree. these valeo parents are just over the top. It screams the dad's in particular have no concept of what the odds are just to play college soccer her in the States. What a bunch of delusional sad sacks. It's just so amusing. You're right, if the Revs are even looking here at this forum and this thread, they must having a chuckle at all of it. poor people, no clue.

They are certainly not "normal" based on their attitudes here and behavior on the sidelines. Just a bunch of clueless dad's who have never played soccer and their single sport small kids with their hair glue are totally unathletic. Valeo is the laugh of the state.

I've seen valeo players, they are all so tiny and frail. The Midwest players would ingest them as an appetizer. Poor parent's, obsessed with their kids and obviously living vicariously through them. so sad.

so i dont know much about valeo other than what I have read on this "discussion" board, but my son has played there twice against them and on both occasions the referee had to warn the parents about what they were saying from the sideline/area behind the fence..and we are talking u-little's here, which i haven't seen against any other opponent so far. Not sure what was said either time, but i heard the referee loud and clear both times. Sad that the parents can give a bad name to some pretty talented kids at such a young age.

You're right, but they are not that talented, that is the point.

Interesting because Valeo u12 hasn't played a game at the Valeo center yet and last spring it was one the first time they played any of those u12 teams, not twice. Before that it was 8v8 on the half fields so parents did not stand behind the fence. Nice story!

Emilio has virtually guaranteed to many parents that a future with the Revs academy is in the cards. Sideline chatter has been revealing this recently. I trust Emilio and apparently he is deep rooted with the Revolution academy system. I hope he is being truthful and not just blowing smoke. My son is hoping for this and I am too. Soccer is his only sport and he dreams of this day and night. Time will tell. He is not the most profficient on the Valeo u12's, but hoping he gets better with better coaching. most of the team are okay but very individual in their play and often look at their dads for approval throughout the matches which is a little disturbing to us.

There is one valeo father who I believe is of central American descent that paces up and down the whole game and swears in his native language. I strongly suspect it's profanity and then argues with his poor submissive wife after the match about their son's performance. I understood that much from my rudimentary knowledge of Spanish from high school. very disturbing to say the least.

I also am a Valeo U12 parent and I know of the person you are talking about. I can tell all of you once and for all, this team is good but by no means the best around. I do not associate with any of the fellow parents because as you can imagine, they are just so off base in their intensity and the pressure they put on their little boys. If I were an academy organization, I would not consider any of these kids just based on the families attitudes. In my humble opinion, they are just okay players but not the best of their age group. That is the truth and I played professionally in Latin America and being honest in my assessment of the team but my son is having fun.

Sure it is. Wrong field, wrong team, wrong club. Other than that, great story, very believable.

Over 1500 posts and 41000 views. WOW! I can't believe this thread is still thriving. Threads like this used to be reserved for the girls and really it was not until about u14 or u15. Congratulations all. This is awesome!
