Having a daughter entering high school next year, I have to ask the basic question, how much does soccer really help with college? There are tidbits in these threads about what colleges kids from a certain team went to and how many went from each team, but the quality of schools seem to be inconsistent and not much in depth knowledge is provided. Appealing to the older girls, can anyone answer the basic question, other than it's fun aspect, does a good player on a good team have a chance at a full scholarship, have a chance at a partial scholarship, use it as a positive to get a bubble kid into a certain school, play in college for fun, or typically not continue in college. Does continually playing soccer in high school get you into a better college or keep you from studying enough to get into a better school?
Are you better off on the Math Team vs the Soccer team in regard to college acceptance?
If you have two tests and a quiz on friday, do you go to practice thursday night?
