Columbus Day weekend is supposed to be reserved for Town Travel team tournaments, while Memorial Day Weekend is for club team tournaments.

Unfortunately some club teams dont abide by this massachusetts soccer rule of thumb, so kids that play on both club teams and town teams are forced to pick between the two.

What scumbag club teams do this?

No, you just play by the rules. If players on the club team are going with the town team, they are excused.

If they are not going to a town tournament they can play with their premier team.

Town teams have priority for Columbus day, but premier teams are not prohibited from going.
