Not surprising when the bulk of the deaths occurred in the spring of 2020 when the virus went undetected in the NE, as well as last year's holiday surge before vaccines were widely available. On a per capita basis CT has done better with deaths than many other states. First column shows states ranked by total deaths per 100K. Believe me I'm not fan of Lamont's but CT after that intial nightmare CT has done very well. I posted the data. Like I said I'm no Lamont fan but have been grateful to be in this state during the last two years. We all got vax'd well before family and friends in other parts of the country, most schools and sports ran when they still weren't in other areas. the state is highly vaccinated now which is why even when we had case spikes with Omicron our hospitalization and death rate was low and fell quickly. The virus still had people to infect but ran out of people to make seriously ill.

They will complain that Lamont (a business man) is not their guy. He did well, but like all politicians he has to continue to do well. No that the state is growing again and tax base expanding he needs to look to cut taxes, hold expenditures flat, and resist new spending.

Maybe the rise in Homicides ( one each the last 3 days in Hartford ) , carjackings and his support of the Police Accountability Bill which has led Police to abandon chasing after suspects or intervening when their livelihood is threatened. Not to mention the Billion $ it is costing CT taxpayers to support Blumenthal and Murphy’s illegals in the state.
Lamont must think CT citizens are fools for proposing tax cuts after the Feds sent taxpayer money disguised as COVID relief. Why wait to Feb 28 to lift the masks off of kid’s faces. Hasn’t there been enough damage done to them?

Learning facial cues happens at the younger ages and primarily at home where there isn't masking. You are vastly overstating the impact and also assuming kids can't learn once this has all passed

If you want to complain about masks not being mandated, please home school your child. We should all have the choice. Thats what makes America....freedom of choice.
