It’s not a solution. It’s reality. Say I’m housekeeping/maintenance at an office building. I need 40 hours of pay to make ends meet. Should I stay home when I have the sniffles. Many of the liberal elites have forgotten this, but many people have hourly jobs. You don’t show up, you don’t get paid. It’s not about a badge of honor, it’s about affording food for your kids. Your next response is better paid leave. My next response is that costs employers money which leads to higher prices. Your next response is, what about the cost of the virus. My next response is that doesn’t change the immediate need of the hourly employee or the fact at a certain price I will stop paying for my Starbucks or McDonalds, which will lead to phasing out of employees to keep prices down. I get it, but if I'm feeling like crap I will do what I can to stay home and avoid others. I'm well aware many others cannot do that. But plenty of people heavy up on the Advil and to tonwork when they don't have to. FOMO isn't just for youth soccer but work also.. Lots of parents send their kids sick to school too, usually because the parents have to work. The lack of sick leave + low wages have kept people working in this pandemic when they shouldn't have been

Yes, when people are sick with contagious virus, we should have OSFA generalization = stay home. There are safety nets, food bank and other options for people in real need. Spreading the disease is not helping anyone but makes it worse in the long run.

I am sure the dems, like emperor Ned have solutions for this .... take the middle and upper classes more and create a FMLA fund .... CTs just because active 2 weeks ago after a year of additional payroll taxes in 2021. Another 0.5% tax on every single paycheck (that people heard very little of last year) for the rest of our lives that we will never getback ... on top of already ridiculous taxes on pay, gas, sin taxes, sales tax, property tax .......

not OP but I will be taking my retirement dollars out of this state as soon as I am able to retire...I love CT as I have lived here my entire life but it is becoming unlivable for those who do not live on the platinum coast...plus I am not a fan of the cold lol
