CT is one of the most vaccinated states in the US. Low case rates too although like everywhere else cases are going up. With our high vax rates we shouldn't see the same kind of spikes in hospitalizations and deaths as before, or be red states per capita (they have lower vaccinatiin rates). But the system will be strained no doubt because there's still a large number that aren't vaxd. even a "mild" vase of Covid can knock you on your azz for awhile. Get your booster, mask up indoors, be smart but we don'thave to shutdown like before.
At least the CIAC has vaccinated athletes competing without masks.
Other wise, some more facts. There are 9000 hospital beds in the state of CT. As of today, there are 6 children with COVID related issues hospitalized.
There are around 800,000 CT residents under the age of 19.
The vast majority of public school children in CT are required to wear masks in school.

Those 9k beds will fill more quickly than they will clear out. But, we’ll keep one out in the hallway with your name on it. If we run out of beds in the hallway, can you please bring a lawn chair with you? See you soon.
