Well, maybe I just do not believe everything I read on a chat board (especially when I know for a fact I am right) Did you even try to research? So you are wrong and lazy. Facts only please. Tell me the public school district in Fairfield county that was open in 2020 full time, in classroom.

looks like all cause mortality in the Pfizer trail was higher in the vaccination group then placebo group.
      21 deaths in vaccinated group
      17 deaths in unvaccinated group

“From Dose 1 through the March 13, 2021 data cutoff date, there were a total of 38 deaths, 21 in the COMIRNATY group and 17 in the placebo group. “

They buried that in the text, but hi-lited meaningless efficacy rates in tables .... no mention of the severity for all of those cases .... 99 times out of 100, would bet the severity for those under 80 were similar between control and experimental groups. This is exactly why the scientific community should face scrutinization of studies.

Three family members just went down with the big C after each had double vaccine shots back in May. Two visited the ER room and were administered the monoclonal antibody treatment, the third weathered the daily fever, aches and cough on their own. These were healthy strong individuals and it wiped them out like nothing seen before. Take this virus seriously folks and get a booster as soon as you can because that sh** wears off but it most definitely probably saved their lives.

Good that there are now two approved antivirals coming to the market soon. They don't require hospital/MD administration - much like Tamiflu for the flu.

Gyms are still not open in NJ FL kept much more open and has done well.

Virus is seasonal. States & countries below the 30th latitude (sub-tropical) had different virus timing & growth then those north of the 30th. Just look at Latin America or South America. When its your turn you get it. No policys change that.
              Virus is going to virus
When a community get to 15-20% it burns out. That is what happened here. No policies can stop that.

The rate of COVID-19 cases is increasing faster in Connecticut than any other state, according to Ny Times database that tracks state trends.

Off a very small base. We still have very good numbers and vaccination rates. The upper NE started to go up as the weather got colder and now it's moving down here. You can't stop Covid at the state line. being a front line vaccination state also means the efficacy of those early shots is starting to wera off, especially the most medically vulnerable (old people who got vaccinated first in Jan/Feb). This was all very predicted based on data in Israel and a few other countries that are several weeks ahead of us on the Covid trend curves

Everyone using very small bases ..... Number of peie seeking testing. Am betting that our rate is simar to others based on population and sample sizes of 1000s of dailybtest each day over a 14 day span is not a terribly small sample size. Why are we not questioning the effectiveness of these "vaccines" for preventing infection? Are there any number of shots of these cocktails that will prevent infection. Get an MMR or chicken pox shot and you do not see these numbers ever!!!!! Something is amiss and we are being kept in the dark. Not hard to understand why public confidence in the science is waning quickly.

Because they weren't designed to stop infection but lesson it's severity. When 2K a day or more were dying this was a pathway out. Other manufacturers were trying other options but have never delivered. In the future maybe there can be such a thing but given the nature of Covid mutations - like the flu and colds - it's pretty unlikely we'd ever have a one shot deal but boosters every year or more.

Chicken Pox and many other diseases operate differently and even then some require boosters at some point. Those vaccines also took years - decades in some cases - to develop. We didn't have time for that.

Total fabrication and lies. These were originally billed as able to stop the virus. If we could see both paths, pretty sure this path would have less deaths in the short term but we are prolonging the inevitable. This is not a vaccine it is more like aspirin or Tylenol which simply lessen the symptoms for most. I have a strong feeling that we are not letting this virus run its course in the masses and their antibody production (and lack of thinning the herd of the weakest) will cause far worse mutations in the future. Science is pretty good but not when rushed and it can't beat mother nature.

No it never was billed as such, neither by the CDC, FDA or the vaccine manufacturers.

Exactly - how would anyone know longer term what the vaccines would do. The original goal was for humanity to mount a response to the pandemic. Vaccine trials based on controlled trials seemed to work, but that’s not an indication they would work for life. Get a life friend. You are lucky smart people are still around.

Viruses like Covid (or flu) mutate, often unpredictably, so over time it probably won't remain as effective in either preventing infection or lessening illness. Fortunately the first batch was effective against the original strain and Delta. Now there's a new variant in Africa they're nervous about. It could fizzle like a few other straind have or become a powerhouse against the vaccines. It's too early to tell yet, but Europe and Israel and now the US have banned flights from certain countries. Thing is once it is out, its out. At that point it becomes a question of how do you take it on?

While I've been cautious (but not crazy so) and vaccinated I am so tired of it all. I hope this new strain turns out to be nothing.

Stocks sink, with the Dow briefly down 1,000 points, as a new COVID variant raises fears of more economic disruption.

As a democrat, I am concerned. Biden is not going to win a second term. Kamala has been neutered by biden. Bernie is too old. Mayor Pete is too gay. Beto is going to be com8ng of a loss to a bad actor in texas. Who is the future? We are screwed. Manchin is killing us. We are going to lose the midterms. Agh!
