Who has made it more political? It wasn't the left. It started with Trump attacking scientists, health experts, blue state governors who had more strict mandates and praising the red state ones who didn't. The rest of the GQP latched on. Who are the ones screaming at city council or school board meetings? Who is even threatening politicians or health experts or school board members trying to protect the public?

this is about freedom plain and simple. nobody wants to be forced to get something they dont want, for whatever reason thats their right. I dont think the government should be forcing this on anybody. BUT this kind of freedom comes in all different shapes and sizes. As a person I should have the freedom to choose to get it or not. As an employer, they have the choice to mandate it or not. As an employee I have the choice to either follow that mandate or not. Again its about choice, your freedom to choose. You make that choice and you live with what happens next. Its not that difficult to understand.

You cant complain about freedom and turn around and complain you lost your job because they mandated the vaccine and you chose not to get it. You had the choice. I have a family, I choose my family's needs over my own. If me getting a vaccine lets me keep my job and keeps my house, food for kids, cloths for kids then so be it.

This has gone way too far right and too far left. Think logically. Just take a look. From the start, they never said any of the vaccines would keep you from getting sick. Clearly stated that they help you from getting really sick and dying. So with that, you have a choice, get it or dont get it. I choose to get it because it was set up through work and it was extremely easy. Other than that, I probably wouldnt have gotten it.

The more we make this political, the more we continue to get emotional about this, the longer it it will take to get back to normal, if ever. This is a flu like disease, and as you can see we dont even have 100% vaccine for the common flu. This is something we will have to deal with for a long time and unless we can keep politics and emotion out of it we will never see the end.

If you are worried about your 1 year old being affected by covid, you should put half of your life savings into powerball this week and the other half on green at Mohegan Sun. You have a better chance of hitting both than your 1 year old being adversely affected by covid. Secondly, as the other poster mentioned, why do you care what everyuone else does if you got this amazing vaccine?? I am vaxxed too and couldn't care less if you or anyone else gets it. It has absolutely no bearing on me. Want to get people back to work safely, stop giving hand out after handout to stay home and watch the price is right for the last 18 months.

Wish Biden and democrats hadn’t made the vaccine a political thing. They fought against legitimizing it during the election cycle, then changed tunes. Subsidies ended awhile ago. Turns out during this time lots of workers re evaluated what they want - better paying jobs with predictable hours and benefits, no long commutes. Many of of the jobs looking to be filled are still lower wage crap jobs and/or part time. There's a shift happening.

I am sure in your mind it is justified. And there are certainly enough actors in the media and political world that stroke these fears for less than altruistic reasons. To hopefully provide you some comfort, I would encourage you to google death statistics in the US for the past 5 years and I think you will find about the same number of people have died each and every year pre and post covid. With all the hysteria around covid, you would think it would be much more recently, but statistically, it is just not the case. Elderly and those with pre-existing conditions die at a higher rate than healthy young people and the plain hard truth is that they are just having the covid label slapped on them versus some other cause.
