Inflation is coming because of the scarcity of goods coming from overseas. Anyone not working now has a reason. You forget we lost over a million people - mostly adults to COVID. Many were hourly workers who couldn’t afford to not work and could not work at home. Sorry those workers aren’t coming back to your landscape operation or pizza shop. I am a military family and you couldn’t be more wrong. Nobody disagrees that we needed to leave there. However, anyone with a brain would’ve pulled the equipment and citizens out before the military. Again, wrong. I am not a blue collar worker, but I am self-employed. You must receive the benefits and paycheck off our American dream. When you pay people to stay home they don’t choose to work. If things were made in the United States in the first place maybe we wouldn’t be in this predicament. We lost too many people to COVID, no denying that. We should also point out that a global economy where you can ship stuff around the world, means management cannot just markup the cost of a product to whatever they like so they can afford to cover your wages and benefits. Anyone making a similar product that can undercut the price with acceptable quantity will put a business out of business. I’m sure this reality doesn’t come up at the union hall.Comment

Your 80 employees won't wind up in the hospital or dead, so there's that. They also won't come in angry at the 20 who won't get vaccinated. Less hostile work environment, so there's that. You cut out 20 employees who don't believe im facts and science and data, so there's that.
