not sure how asking a question that might shed light on the shortage of beds was assigning it to libs just looking at the issue from a different lens to help better understand it instead of making blanket accusations...the bottom line is the nursing shortage is a real thing that has been exacerbated by mandates(we do live in a knowledge driven free society last time I checked)...the study on vaccination is iffy at best as it appears to be done by sending out a survey and hoping they respond(logic would tell you that those who are vaccinated would be less likely to respond)...I did find it interesting that even though 88% reported they were vaccinated only 59% supported vaccine mandates...one would think that their support for mandates would mirror the vaccination rate

I think most of us do not have an issue with people getting the vaccine (as many of us have also received it willingly), but we simply want the right to choose for ourselves and our dependents. The governments of the world have millenniums of history proving they are mostly awful at making decisions. Americans will not and should not accept an authoritarian state that takes away freedoms and choice when there is so much debate to be had and experience and lessons to be learned. Nothing here is clear-cut. There are plenty of very good and valid reasons not to get vaccinated. If I was 20 years old, I would not have been vaccinated. I rarely get flu shots (have had the flu once in my life in a year that actually did get a flu shot) and I probably will not do boosters until a lot more time has passed, if ever. Even at my age (mid-40s), I was not rushing to get it as I am terribly low risk for anything with this virus. Nonetheless, I decided to get these first two doses, trusting science to some degree.

In any case, who dies if you choose not get vaccinated? The unvaxxed person. Both vaxxed and unvaxxed people (according to the science) can still carry and transmit the disease so there is simply no gain for others by being vaccinated and a host of research on masking was overturned during last year's panic which really makes me skeptical! The constant bickering and changes of direction at the world's top health organizations over the past 18 months is also a red flag as to whether the science is valid and being followed or not. I have never seem such panic, pleading, and now cracking the whip on unvaxxed people. THAT is very alarming. Listen, if vaccines, social distancing, and masks work, anyone scared should shelter in place with two masks after getting vaccinated. If the science is accurate, you are good to go. If it is not, then it really doesn't matter, does it? For the rest of us, leave us alone and let us live our lives. The sky is not falling, that was simply an acorn. Nature is going to nature and viruses are going to virus. Period!

It’s just so expensive for the average person to make a video and put it out on the internet. One FDA member said he was withholding approval because of the myocardial risk. In Israel's data they had one case of it.

As for your NYT link all it shows is yes efficacy wanes. Efficacy wanes for most vaccines. It seems Moderna holds up better than Pfizer but still offers good protection past 6 months. your claim a 3rd only lasts 12 days? Utter bull like usual. Yes, it feels very American to contemplate the first non-peaceful transfer of power in America after losing a free and fair election where for years the demographics have not been in your favor and finally a key part of the constitution was fulfilled - all men are created equal and have the right to vote. When you play games down south creating 6 hour long lines just to vote because you don’t install a reasonable number of precincts you are not maintaining equal access to voting. Mail-in options overcame that. While those will be disgustingly eroded, it still won’t matter because the GOP has lost at least 3% of its supporters more than democrats from COVID death. Party leaders know this and are constantly thinking about a coup, which is treason and will be dealt with with maximum impunity similar to what you are seeing with the J6 losers.
