Connecticut College required vaccination for all students/staff, as well as mandatory testing twice a week for students, but has nonetheless shut down all in-person activities. Mass "quarantine" imposed, visits with friends prohibited, special permission required to leave campus
This is the total opposite of vaccines enabling everyone to "get back to normal." Clearly in some settings, it's just an excuse for authorities to exert more control and more aggressively micromanage your life
By the way, the annual fee for Connecticut College is $77,575
The busybody Dean sent a self-important letter condemning students -- who again, are universally vaccinated per the College's own dictates -- for socializing without wearing masks. How heinous! What happened to telling these College Officials to F off and mind their own business?
Imagine paying tens of thousands of dollars to submit to the whims of this person
Never thought COVID was some kind of plot or conspiracy, but long past the point of having any tolerance for the profiteers, scammers, busybodies, and neurotics using COVID as an excuse to impose their weird little petty tyrannical rule
Also, hilarious how they came up with their own little Homeland Security-style color coded "alert" system. The bureaucrat busybodies running this system must love the petty tyrannical power they get to lord over everyone
Alert Level Orange-3! Desist all unauthorized socializing!
Connecticut College students rush in to proclaim how much they revere the "in loco parentis" Dean who's surveilling their social lives, confining them to their dorms, and barring them from leaving campus without a permission slip: even though they're all vaccinated. God, how lame
Why take note of COVID policy at a small liberal arts college in CT? Well, recent years have demonstrated that it doesn't take long for campus-based "norms" to migrate outward through society. They're running their own mini Australia experiment... but *with universal vaccination*

And let's repeat it one more time for those in the back of the room:
You can still catch Covid if vaccinated
You're many times less likely to become seriously ill or die if vaccinated
Other covid precautions like masks indoors will help keep CT numbers lower for covid, high vaccination rates will keep people out of the hospital.
you obviously dont hang out with any ,so how does this affect you
you are all vaxxed, masked and sanitized ,as im sure your wife and kids are- so relax
your panic over this tells me that you know the truth ( not to be said out loud) its not republicans, its the hood thats driving up cases and they dont care what you think, just keep sending the checks

As always, the lesson: you can not comply your way to freedom.
It is an expensive prison.
No one is being forced to attend classes there.
And, by in large, this is a bunch of leftists inflicting pain upon each other. In that regard, I say the college should require them to wear 5 masks and sit in solitude. You are getting what you deserve.

Trump was POTUS for 13 months of the pandemic, and had 434k deaths (33k/month).
Biden has been POTUS for less than 8 months, and has had 241k deaths (30k/month)...and that was with vaccines.
Not sure how anyone can call this a success.
I think some people are just scared to admit that maybe...just maybe...our entire political system is inherently broken. It is easy to blame Trump, and now to blame Biden...but the system is just failing on so many levels, and neither political party has a good answer.

Well delivered Dr. Glanville “Vaccines aren’t 100% effective therefore mandates don’t make sense” has the same logical problem as a highschool boy saying “condoms aren’t 100% effective therefore we must rawdog”

How would it improve anything?
if you truly wanted non contagious passengers on planes, then every passenger should be antigen tested at the airport.
$3 a test is what Europe changes.
no mask or vaxx passports needed
only non contagious allowed to fly.
This would be reasonable.
