not the op but I'm vaccinated and not worried about myself. I took prudent precautions before yet still lived my life fairly normally. The vaccine prevents you from getting seriously ill. It doesn't keep you from catching it. I will wear a mask to continue to protect others just in case I do pick it up and don't realize it. We need to mask up until more people are vaccinated and the incidence of disease is much lower. That's what you do if you care about others. Clearly you do not.

My point is, you think just because they went to an additional 4 years of school they know it all. Perhaps he should have said, we won’t really know for a while, but as a precaution, assume it can be transmitted, wear a mask as a precaution, etc. don’t make a definitive statement unless you have definitive facts.

It's understandable that the public and media want answers, yet they don't like to hear "we don't know" as an answer. The previous administration pushed experts hard, and when they didn't get answers they liked, tried to change the answers and data.

Different poster.....I only wear a mask when entering a business, ie food store. Not because I want to, because I have to. I too have been vaccinated recently. Get the second one this month. Never wear one outside, nor will I.

If everyone wore a mask, distanced, skipped parties and bars and family gatherings, much of that could have been avoided, or at least minimized. But nope, people just couldn't do the right thing.

not the op but I also have managed to have a pretty normal existence simply by taking certain safety measures. My construction-related job doesn't let me work from home often. Knock on wood no covid for me or my family, got my first vax already and 2nd soon. Can't wait to get rid of the masks but we're not there yet. I prefer to be part of the solution.
