Even without 15 min wage, Biden is killing the economy. Stock market tanking and interest rates are rising because Inflation is going to skyrocket and they know it. Powell even said it is going to go thru 2%.

Bidens whole excuse for the 1.9T pork bill was, hey, interest rates are low, so lever up. By the time they pass that bill, interest rates will have gone up 100bps...whats that...19B a year? That aint all homeboy. He wants an infrastructure bill, he wants reparations, cure cancer (he actually said he would if elected), etc

Cant grow your way out of that spending homey.

But they're messily intertwined that are hard to untangle. Lower income households are much more likely to be minorities.

and there are many reasons for that, and most of those reasons dont involve white people stacking the deck
unless of course you include white dem politicians who tried to help and destroyed the black middle class of the 50s

True in many cases, but what are the contributing factors that are denied or not acknowledged by Progressives? That is the problem. They rarely acknowledge personal responsibility.

What are the chances at this point that we could end up having a "normal" high school soccer season in fall 2021? Normal meaning a) any spectator who can show proof of vaccination would be allowed to enter the stands without having to wear a mask, b) there would be traditional state tournaments and no rules modifications would be necessary to play the games, and c) the amount of postponements/cancellations necessary to deal with any lingering cases would be very minimal. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but the return of state tournaments for lacrosse in the spring is definitely a sign that we may be headed in the right direction (as long as the new variants don't cause any more problems for the original vaccine).

Mortgage rates are above 3% for the 1st time since Obama. It would not surprise me to see 6-8% like during the Clinton era.

Frankly these are silly questions. Everything should be open right now 100% like in Florida and Texas. The vulnerable and teachers will have been protected by end of March. The remaining population has a mortality equivalent to the seasonal flu and are in the process of getting vaccinated and by early summer will have a mortality less than seasonal flu.

As far as kids: 35,000 kids under age of 18 have died since Jan1, 2020. 200 of them involved COVID (cant even confirm that they died from COVID) but say all 200 did. That's 200 out of >500,000, there should be no question all kids activities should be open as of now.

I saw same report on kids. 200 kids died with / from Covid
A normal year for the flu would see 600 kids die and that is with a vaccine
Everything should be open as normal right now.

I think fall will definitely be back to "normal" (with some modifications). I have a non athlete HS senior and every school they've been accepted to has said they're expecting a pretty normal return in the fall, barring some unexpected new crisis (like you said some extreme variant takes over or something). By the time school starts up again everyone will be vaccinated that wants to be. If a venue or school won't allow you in without proof of vaccination then that's your own unvaccinated problem.

lol it was 12% under Regan. 3% is still an absurdly low rate.

I had a cd that paid 10% during Regan.
My first house was 7.5% during Clinton
                          My current homes are 2.625 & 2.75
I am so happy I did not pay in full up front
Making 10%+ more then those rates in the market
                          Win win
                          I love winning

Biden took another L on his signature legislation...can’t get his own party in line

House Democrats postponed plans for a vote on President Biden’s immigration reform bill after a whip count revealed it might not pass, according to a report.

This is why they don’t let this guy speak but one line to the media and sums up him perfectly.

Biden, 78, concluded his webcast remarks by describing himself as “like a poor relative… when I’m invited, I show up. “

“So be careful. You know the poor relatives, they show up. They stay longer than they’re supposed to. I’m one of those kind of guys,” he said.

I left out the racist remarks

President Biden on Thursday made one of his most head-turning comments since being sworn in when he told an Indian-American aerospace engineer that immigrants from the subcontinent are “taking over” the US.

“It’s amazing. Indian-descent Americans are taking over the country — you, my vice president, my speechwriter,” Biden told Swati Mohan, NASA’s guidance and controls operations lead for the Mars Perseverance rover landing.

Taking over? I think he has been talking to Nancy too much. Maybe we should build a wall around DC and call in the national guard....wait, we did that already

I wonder if Biden will say this is Neanderthal thinking! I thought Biden said there was a shortage. I thought he said he had to start over because trump had no strategy for distribution. I thought democrats followed science? Now a single shot vaccine that is easier to administer is being turned down by democrat mayors in primarily underserved communities because he reads a head line number about efficacy when it was proven the vaccine keeps people out of the hospital and from dying. Fact is the populations tested were different as was the time of the trial. That’s not good enough now. When blacks die in Detroit, how will he sleep at night?

CNN)Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan declined an initial allocation of the newly authorized Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine this week even as nationwide demand continues to outpace available supply.

Duggan, a Democrat who has been mayor since 2014, said he turned down the shipment because the city is able to meet current demand with its supply of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines -- even as his administration expanded vaccine eligibility Thursday to residents ages 50 and older with chronic medical conditions.
"So, Johnson & Johnson is a very good vaccine. Moderna and Pfizer are the best. And I am going to do everything I can to make sure the residents of the City of Detroit get the best," Duggan said during a news conference Thursday.
