"Illegal immigrants" can become legal ones if we would change the temporary visa system. Asylum seekers are not and have never been illegal, just Trump wanted them to be.

Go ahead and ship kids from Detroit and Philly to work on farms and see how it goes. The jobs migrant workers take are by and large ones Americans won't - janitors, pickers, meat processing plants. It's how our economy runs. Make them legal workers for a few years and we can keep tabs on them. keep them underground and it's that much harder to.

It's just how our economy works. Same with many economically advanced nations - lower skilled worker, mostly immigrants, take the jobs locals either don't want or are over-qualified to do.
