Now Congress wants the money back into base spending. Think the Pentagon will say no we don't need it?

Over thirty House Democrats are asking President Biden to consider renouncing his authority to launch nuclear weapons.
In a letter sent Tuesday but publicized Wednesday, 31 lawmakers led by Reps. Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.) and Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) urge the commander in chief to “consider modifying the decision-making process the United States uses in its command and control of nuclear forces.”

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostDemocracy won the election. This is how democracy goes. a little better planning would have avoided the Tanden mess. The $15 wage will never go away and maybe needs its own bill anyways. But that should be a state decision anyways. A living wage in NY is totally different than a living wage in mississippi.
I totally agree with the GOP that the minimum wage issue should be debated separately. But I agree with the Dems it needs to happen and agree with Biden it should be more gradual to soften the blow to some businesses. You can't rely on states to do the right thing because red states won't, and it's been mostly blue states that have led the fight for higher wages. Perhaps there's a way to index the raise and speed of the raise to state and local cost of living indices. That is something that can be debated if it's taken up as its own issue.

remember this one from Jenny the mouth?
2017 tweet by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who criticized an airstrike on Syria ordered by then-President Donald Trump.
Psaki wrote at the time, “Also what is the legal authority for strikes? Assad is a brutal dictator. But Syria is a sovereign country.”
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) recirculated Psaki’s tweet, writing, “Great question.”
now it is ok though....because democrat is in office.
