This is true - there isn't one perfect source. They all have pros and cons. But the needs to move away from fossil fuels as a primary source is clear. Burning garbage is great if it can be scaled up - our landfills are quickly filling up

A benefit of keeping garbage out of land fill is a huge reduction in methane that decomposition of garbage produces. Methane is a much bigger problem then carbon emissions.
Burn the garbage cleanly like Sweden, produce electricity from it, and reduce methane.
Then you don’t need to worry about cows farting and needing synthetic beef.

Agree. The technology is much safer now; we've had nuke power plants on submarines and ships for decades with no issues. Also the best power source in case of a calamity (meteor strike, etc.). Solar and wind would be useless if the skies were dark with soot for a long period. We would also not be able to transport coal, oil, etc. to power the plants.

They've already sent FEMA, have allocated relief funds and are sending 100s of emergency generators. Trump made a big deal about that ship but it was barely used because the logistics of moving Covid patients proved too problematic
