Why is the military still in DC?
Why is it a military zone?
The military is still in DC because we have an unlawful President in the White House.

Come on Snowflakes. How do you square national cries for defunding the police when sections of cities were burnt to the ground with democrats spending tens of millions of tax payer dollars to protect themselves?

As already discussed, the cop didn’t die from the Capitol protest. If he did, there would have been evidence of trauma and autopsy reports would have been released.
Still no evidence from cons of Biden taking $ from anyone. As has been pointed out, if Trump had such evidence why wouldn't he have used it to insure a win? Because there's nothing. Why didn't he launch any investigations while in office and had lackey bill Barr on his team? Because there's nothing.

Come on con - Biden isn't for "defunding the police" the way cons portray it. Nor are most Democrats. They just want some resources re-allocated. As an example: Denver and a few other cities are piloting a program where 911 callers can ask for mental health experts rather than cops if a loved one is having an episode. It is having strong success so far.

"The intent of STAR is to send the right response, not a one-size fit all response. People call 911 for an array of reasons and it’s not always something that involves risk or a criminal element," Sailon said in a statement. "If the STAR van can handle someone in crisis and that frees up police to handle a robbery or domestic violence call, then that’s an incredible success."

Perhaps if mental health or social workers had been called in Rochester NY one man experiencing an episode would still be alive, and a 9 year old girl wouldn't have been pepper sprayed by police

Biden’s administration ordered and put production plans in place so we now have enough doses coming out to actually inoculate 300,000,000 million Americans. Why didn’t Trump do that? Oh, you mean Trump only pretended to do what was necessary to inoculate Americans. Very odd that Trump “forgot”.

Did Trump meet with the family of the Officer Trump had killed yet?

A little fact checking on Trump's "plan" such as it was. Biden has credited Trump for helping to speed along vaccine development. It was after that things fell short.

"Biden administration officials say that what they inherited was a system that was largely designed for the first stage — vaccinating health-care workers and people living in long-term care facilities, both of whom are at fixed sites where they could receive vaccines. “They viewed their job as vaccines, not vaccinators,” a senior administration official said.

There were many half-formed ideas, officials said, such as a pharmacy program, but little had been developed beyond concepts. “There was not one piece of paper with how you could vaccinate the entire country,” he said. “If they had a strategic plan, they never gave it to us.”

“The Trump administration vaccinated for 38 days, and on two of those days they hit 1 million shots,” said another senior administration official. “You needed a very different vaccination program” to continue to achieve more than 1 million shots once health-care workers and long-term care residents were covered. “There was no plan to vaccinate all Americans,” he said, noting that as of Feb. 12, the seven-day average was about 1.5 million while daily doses topped 2 million."

Just waiting for Ted Cruz to come out and say that California should rake its leaves and quit trying to get money from the Federal Government for disaster relief. I am sure Biden will be there soon to toss paper towel rolls around.

Why is it again that windmills work in subzero temperature in the Midwest, but not in 25 degree termps in Texas? Oh wait -- they do work. It's just every other part of the Texas only system that failed. Pretty bad when Mississippi's infrastructure is far superior to your own. It's almost like turning over your power infrastructure to private companies without oversight was a bad idea.

You are missing the major issue
Subsidies for green energy from federal put fossil power plants out of business because they were not profitable due to the subsidy. This caused the reliable power plants to close and now there is no reserve capacity for this situation. Federal subsidies caused the issue.

the turbines did fail and since they produce 25% of the power the result is the rest of the grid couldnt make up for the loss of power

the fact that the freeze was so widespread is the real problem- if the whole state wasnt affected they would have been able to deal with the extra demand

you miss the point entirely...this is what happens when you try to force social "mandates" in the real world before they are ready for primetime...dems will scream the backup fossil fuel generators froze Republicans will scream the wind turbines froze...bottom line is that it showed that the renewables are not ready for primetime yet and may not be the best answer for our clean energy solutions as problems like these can occur to derail the system and cost lives. why are dems so against free market solutions? EVERY American wants to have a cleaner environment why not just the the free market come up with the proper solution as it always does?

Windmills work all winter - including in subzero temps - all over the Midwest. High today will be below 15 degrees. Wind mill farms are cranking out electricity. For some reason in Texas they don’t work below 30 degrees? Odd. It’s almost like no one is requiring maintenance. Hmmm.

                              Deutshbank called its Trump loans.

Fun fact - solar + wind makes up 17% of the Texas electric supply. Both can operate in cold with proper precautions. Many northern countries especially use wind with no issue.
