After looking into this, I see why. It is a smear campaign against DeSantis & Publix. DeSantis because he is a front runner for 2024 & Trump supporter and Publix because the heiress Julie Jenkins is a Trump supporter and of course Miami is very Democrat.

Umm the goal was to “hit at least 1.5M”. It’s called under promise over deliver. I guess that is hard to understand given four years of “over promise and deliver the exact opposite”. Drain the swamp (while I pump septic sludge into it), “Mexico will build a wall (with money syphoned from our military and FEMA fund).” “You will file your taxes on a postcard (most are still filing a complicated 1040)”. Come on Snowflake. Get your facts straight. First Biden said it was impossible to get majority of American's vaccinated by the summer. Then his goal since Vaccines were announced was 100M in 100days (1M/day) which amounted to slowing down the rate set before he was in office. Now it's reaching 1.5M/day which we will next week no thanks to Biden.

Even DeSantis had to roll back his vaccine tourism invites as locals couldn't get vaccinated but people were flying in from elsewhere to get it.

Also, giving it exclusively to Publix isn't in the best interest of public health. As the article stated many Floridians can't access those sites. And why not Walgreens, CVS and others? I guess they didn't give DeSantis enough in contributions.
