Many of the better staff left the CDC awhile ago because of ineptitude at the top, budget cuts etc. It will take some time to rebuild their reputation, morale and staffing. That's what happens when you have a POTUS intent on destruction of government systems. Many other agencies have seen similar. Easy enough to rail against them until you actually NEED them.

She's chief of infectious diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Definitely dumber than a box of rocks like Redfield was smdh.

Trump politicized the CDC and Covid unlike any POTUS ever has. He also tried to sideline them by demanding states report their stats directly to the WH instead of to the CDC.
