Happens all the time.
"District attorneys have repeatedly engaged in what victims’ families describe as cruel and painful smears of the dead. In some cases, prosecutors assigned to investigate killings present irrelevant and inaccurate information about victims and their pasts while exonerating the police – a kind of “character assassination” that spreads in the media. The tactic, critics say, emboldens racist policing."

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostStill need two thirds in senate. That means 17 republicans. I can see maybe 5. They are going to need a lot more real evidence to get more. Maybe McConnell’s delay is a strategy to get the additional evidence. Or maybe trump will self incriminate when he issues his self pardon.

Liz Cheney voting against him is a big deal.. there is a real schism in the party. There are more who want to get rid of him than numbers show, they're just too afraid of his base. Many in the house come from true red districts giving them no wiggle room. Seantors representing a broader base of voters have a different calculation to make.

If the ultra-wealthy who are their elite handlers have turned then he is toast. Everyone knows there are not enough ultra-right folks in America to form a competitive Conservative party. They need the religious right, business, etc. those bridges seem burnt for a 2024 Republican run. Impeaching would prevent a 2024 run as a 3rd party candidate.

Trumps on a role now. Treason. Impeachment record, and mass killing. 3,912 yesterday - where do we build that monument? And, 4,412 killed the day before - another record and another monument.

I told you so...
Even the NYT can figure it out.
Allowing tech companies to be the arbitrator of truth & policing free speech is not the way to go.
NYTimes says shutting down sites like Parler drives extremists onto encrypted dark web sites where they’re tough to track which will lead to move violence.

some work well others not so well- and we have the data to determine this
but unlike in any other endeavor, some Govs continue on with their failed policies which leads to increased death and economic destruction- the true test of a leader is being flexible enough to read the ground and pivot as needed to success. after 8 months i can only surmise that Newsome and Cuomo are content with how their states are responding because they keep doing the same things over again-crazy

repeal the protections afforded them as public platforms that perform as billboards.
lets treat them as we would any other publisher would be treated by civil law
i am glad we agree on this, see common ground
