Yet another wise ass TS con who think his/her personal experience symbolizes all. Many schools didn't have their dorms open all fall, and still don't now. Many that were/are open only had partial occupancy. Many students decided to stay home and do online classes rather than worry about Covid and live a monk's existence (at many schools your movement is very restricted). Others stayed home to save some serious money. Every bed not occupied in dorms is lost revenues to schools.

Vaccine- no for him right now with the 2 on the market. They do make sense for some just not him. Said elderly mainly and some with existing conditions

mRNA is new as a vaccine development & we don’t have long term safety history
His advice to me & my family is to wait. Don’t take the current vaccine’s. They really don’t offer me any meaningful risk reduction. As for my parents, he would recommend for both of them.

Prisons have a constant new flow of inmates. Staff also come and go into the community. Infection can come from anywhere, just like with LTC facilities, and can go back out into the community also.

I also see that Red states visitation rules are more liberal then blue states

Not surprisingly -- a new record in new cases -- 291,893 new cases on 1/2 though that likely includes reporting from 1/1 in some cases.
