Considering they both got vaccinated on nation TV already, I’m not sure that matters anymore. Meanwhile King Farooq has yet to get a vaccine, that’s probably doing more to dissuade other nut jobs from getting it. I don’t buy any excuse about what his medical team says. The man eats a Big Mac daily and was allergic to wearing a mask - all putting the nation at risk. He doesn’t listen to doctors...

Strange how every doc and nurse I know in CT has already been vaccinated and they are grateful. Soon no more worries about getting it or giving it to others. Not only are many LTC centers vaccinated but they have moved into assisted living now (down the risk chain).

How the state rolls out the next phase is the real organizational test. This was the easy part (except for the cold storage and shipping issues and the Feds not delivering on quantities - they hit about 70% of what they promised). I think CT will get a much higher % of population vaccinated than in some other states.

Damage was already done when they went on national tv and said vaccine was rushed and because trump was president, suspect.

Earlier this week, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine disclosed that about 60 percent of the nursing home workers in his state have so far chosen not to get vaccinated.

More than half of New York City’s EMS workers have shown skepticism

And now California and Texas are experiencing a high rate of health care worker refusals, according to reports.

An estimated 50 percent of frontline workers in Riverside County in the Golden State opted against the drug, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing public health officials.

So that isn’t trumps fault.....they don’t want it.....he already had the virus. He isn’t at a high risk since he has antibodies....why should he get it now. Would you?

Most of the long term care people are minorities.....they are by nature skeptical of the white establishment. They complain they are part of the high risk, high impacted class of people, yet when given pref treatment and the option of the vaccine, they decline. It is their choice, but Can’t complain that you are marginalized and underserved if you opt out. Guarantee the higher educated non minority surgeons are taking it. Mostly nurses aides not taking it

You know every doctor & nurse in CT?
You don’t even know 1% of them so this is just anonymous dribble.
CT will get higher % because it is a blue state and lacks critical thinkers.
No mRNA for me until I see long term data. I want 5 year’s worth.
Now I personally think the Oxford / AstraZeneca is more promising
Will FDA approve it this next week?
I would consider it over the other two.

            Exactly
There is also the fact that CV is not that problematic as a virus. Not very lethal and many don’t even have any symptoms. People will not rush out for a vaccine for something they didn’t even know they had.

States and employers could require vaccination for employment, with only a few minor exceptions (some of which vary by state eg.in NY now you can't opt out for religious reasons, only medical). Would you want to be in hospital, doctors office or care facility where staff aren't vaccinated? Bad for business. Bad if there's an outbreak among patients or employees. Even if employers don't go that route I think fears will lessen as more safety and efficacy data comes out. Doesn't help that all the anti maskers are going anti vax. Tucker Carlson loves talking about the rare reactions rather than encouraging viewers to get it.

It won’t be known. No rule requiring doctors office to provide info on who is vaccinated. Illegal to require that disclosure.

It isn’t anti mask wearers who are the problem. It is largely the minority front line workers who feel underserved, but don’t want to take it because dems said it was rushed by trump

The people not taking it aren’t the doctors and pas. It is the workers changing the sheets and bed pans. Uneducated front line workers. Most of them have higher chance of getting it and dying

Wrong: more repugnants won't get vax'd than Dems

An ABC News-Ipsos poll found that a respondent's party identification was directly related to their willingness to take the vaccine. A total of 26 percent of Republican respondents said they would never get the COVID-19 vaccine, compared with 6 percent of Democrats and 14 percent of independents.

The poll found that almost twice as many Democrats, or 49 percent, expressed willingness to take the vaccine as soon as it’s available, compared with 28 percent of Republicans and 42 percent of independents.

There are other surveys showing similar results. The GOP is the party of "It's not big deal"

Trump response - “hey just ship it to CVS and they will give the shots. Or in other words - Trump, for months, was as incredibly stupid as you can possibly imagine. And, now, hundreds of thousands of Americans who did not need to die will die.
And, millions more will suffer long term injury.
No he’s not stupid he’s most admired above Obama.

as they are more likely minorities yes they are more at risk of severe illness. Will they take a stand and not get vaccinate for their $15/hour jobs if their employers require it?

someone just did above. Funny how lots of anti masker GOP politicians are knocking people over to get vaccinated though.

Your own article provided my point.

About 9 in 10 respondents with at least a bachelor’s degree were open to getting a vaccine, while 80 percent of those with a high school degree or less agree.

The bed pan changer is more likely not to have a bachelors. Hood rats aren’t graduating college in droves
