the numbers stated were estimates and based on possible production levels- the companies can produce these numbers what i dont believe was discussed or was disregarded in that discussion was the testing post production of the batches and the time that requires

Disagree only in that any health care workers that do treat the elderly at Long Term Care, Assisted Living or Geriatric specialty docs should be vaccinated. They can infect their elderly patients and in fact were a big source at the start with big LTC breakouts. HCW not on the front lines should be lower priority over the elderly, as well as people with high risks like immuno compromised. Imagine being a cancer patient with a good predicted outcome but you die from freaking Covid?

Other than top government officials, any Congressional members under 70 also shouldn't be getting vax'd yet - especially those who were anti maskers and were in the "it's not a big deal" camp.

The vaccine doesn’t necessarily prevent spread. It prevents you from getting sick if you get it. Good thought though. They said it may take a couple months of assessing people that were vaccinated before they can determine if it prevents spreading.

1). 65 and older first
2). Healthcare workers in parallel when possible
3). <65 with comorbidities
4). Everyone else


If a hospital can’t vaccinate their staff with 48 hours they lose their supply.

Pretty sure this is not going to happen. I guess this is what happens when you golf daily instead of do your job and make up your own reality. I’ll give him credit for removing risks to vaccine makers (but really who wouldn’t have done that given the choice and money). On second thought it was probably some intern that made that decision.

Distribution is going slower than expected with states reporting not getting their promised shipments, only some of it. Currently the estimate is 15-18M delivered doses by the year end - but that doesn't mean that many vaccinated. Right now the latest estimate is 3M actually vax'd by Jan 1.

Gov't officials? No way. Only at the very top, like Potus (he won't get it, I suspect he's chicken) and Pence, McConnell, Pelosi, governors, heads of the military etc. Anyone beyond that waits in line like the rest of us according to age or whatever other criteria each state sets.

I will get it at some point but have no issue waiting until the elderly, health care workers, first responders and any medically vulnerable people get it first.

If all it takes to skip the vaccine is to claim the virus is a hoax, then sign me up for “it’s a hoax”
I will think about a vaccine but not a mRNA based one. And I will only consider it after 3-5 years of safety data. That is of course if I don’t get CV before then. I think immunity post infection will be 1 year+ at a minimum. Who knows at the maximum. Right now, I would gladly take the virus over the current 2 vaccine.
