Long term they don't know if a Covid 19 vaccine will be a one time deal or something that needs booster shots at some point or even annually like the flu vaccine. Viruses mutate so this vaccine may not be effective 5 years from now, even one year from now. If could be that getting vax'd once isn't full protection but lessens the severity of illness if you get it a 2nd time. We don't know yet. Right now the focus has been on getting as many vax'd as quickly as possible. More study will be needed.

People are at risk of suicide for a while host of reasons and the US already had alarmingly high rates of suicide well before covid. And, if more people took it seriously, we didn't have as many cases and we could live life a bit more normally then the suicide risks would be lower. But people just can't help themselves, have to go out, OR they listen to Trump and all the conspiracy actors that claim this isn't a big deal.
