IL peaked earlier because of it's proximity to WI, which blew up earlier this fall. IL only recently shut down bars and restaurants. Those who just died caught the virus weeks ago. IL residents also can't be outside most of the time like they can in FL. Comparing one data point, one day, is utterly ridiculous. Compare how they do over time.

Deaths per million over 8+ months is not a 1 day stat.
It is actually the most meaningful. It implies that NPI’s are not having the desired result.
FL deaths per million 20% lower then IL. This suggests FL is doing better. I will argue that it is because of the Governor’s approach.
Remember where the IL Governor’s family vacation- Florida. Humm...

Well -- California - population 39.5 million has had a little shy of 1,250,000 covid cases to date. So, about 3% of the total population in the state.

North Dakota, and South Dakota, both big Trump states, must be doing great in comparison right?

Well -- as of yesterday -- both states have about 10% of their entire populations reported as having had, or currently have, covid. Both North Dakota and South Dakota also have had between 1 and 2 percent of their total populations die from covid in the last 10 months. So -- if California had just done what North Dakota and South Dakota did to combat this virus, then California would have had about 4,000,000 covid cases, and about 400,000 dead right now.

Not to worry though. Trump is working on it. Of course, all he has done for the last 2 days is make a video that is so deranged, even Fox News refuses to carry it.

Tillerson was correct long ago. The cabinet needs to meet, invoke the 25th, and remove Trump. Pence is 9 ways an idiot, but he is not uncaring and he does have some experience and interest in battling covid. That is what we have to focus on.
