How many died of the flu? It’s incredible how the flu is gone. Less than .84 percent of tested people have it in CT. And very few are getting sick.

Crazy how we lose the equivalent of a 9/11 every three days and the right just shrugs its shoulders

First of all, 874 died yesterday, not 1,274. And the numbers have been dropping for a few weeks. Also our deaths per million is almost identical to Italy, so that’s a poor example. Germany’s rate is lower, but it is rising. It is a marathon, not a sprint. Sweden never shut down and has nothing going on there now. The virus needs to run it’s course. Doesn’t matter what you do except in how you treat it and if you do a decent job protecting the elderly, which we did not early on. But eventually Cuomo, Murphy and Lamont (the three stooges), ran out of old people to kill, and the number started dropping in those areas.

Each country has handled it differently, just like our states have, and not much of a difference between the results. Eventually it will get every area until there is a vaccine. So the only question to ask is whether a country should be willing and able to shut down entirely until that vaccine is developed.

            Why do you lie?
Yesterday 844 were reported as deaths
57% of those died >30 days ago
Why do you make stuff up to post?

              Actually every day
8000 Americans die of all causes
So we need to stop death because???
I don’t care how many they attribute to Rona, it is never going to be accurate
              It is a gross overstatement

DPH now recommends that sports labeled as higher risk (11v11 football, cheer, dance, wrestling and boy lacrosse) not hold full-team practices or play games this fall or winter.

Recommendations are not enough to stop (private club) play, but a potential Gov Lamont order could do so.

Anyone out there still absolutely 100% convinced that cancellation for soccer this fall will still happen? I have no desire to see an FCIAC season where St. Joe's does not even play Ridgefield or Staples. If we are trying to make the best out of this situation, then you either decide to go all in and play meaningful games that count for something or you cancel. Putting players' health at risk (even if it's a very low risk) while playing games that count for nothing in terms of standings is NOT solving the problem. Yet it appears that is what we are headed towards....Shame.

Last I checked, high school sports aren’t played for the enjoyment of the fans, it’s for kids to play so no one cares about your desires - just saying.

Kids are playing and are totally happy. They know this isn't a normal year and that's ok. Life doesn't have to be about trophies.

The kids are happy to be playing but they are pissed to not be playing their rivals
The FCIAC could have done the regions better but they did them for football
I know this because a player on one of those 3 teams lives in my house
                            The players are not happy

to each his own. Our school is still playing a good number of normal competitors but different conference. Watching their football friends get jerked around for weeks gave them a new appreciation for being able to play at all.
